Serving over 440 students, Redwood Elementary School is known for its theme of "Choose Kind". Students, staff, and family members find ways to model this theme in many ways throughout the year.
Over the past few years Redwood has won the National PTA School of Excellence Award and has become a Positive Discipline Pilot School. Redwood's mission statement is: The Redwood Family is dedicated to love, learning, and putting students first!

The Grants Pass Early Learning Program will kick off this fall with free interactive playgroups for four and 5-year-olds who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2024.
Registration closes Friday, September 15, 2023. Space is limited.
The Grants Pass School District 7 Board of Directors has approved a debt restructuring plan that aims to address safety and facility needs across the district.
The $12 million generated from the restructuring will be used to make necessary upgrades across the district, with a focus on improving the safety and functionality of school buildings.
We are excited to announce that we are fundraising for an inclusive, all-abilities playground. This playground will provide opportunities for children of all abilities to play and learn together, creating a more inclusive environment for all students.

For a fifth year, every elementary student in Grants Pass School District 7 will participate in One District, One Book. The annual program creates a shared reading experience across the district.
Each week, students are provided free fresh fruits and vegetables as a mid-morning snack.
The goal of the program is to introduce children to new and different varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables while increasing the consumption of fresh, unprocessed produce.
On the evening of Thursday, December 8, 2022, elementary schools in Grants Pass School District 7 were transformed for the 3rd annual GP Express.
The holiday light display was coupled with a canned food drive to benefit Josephine County Food Bank, United Community Action Network and Maslow Project.
