Kindergarten Launch is taking off March 6, 2025

On Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., we will gather the newest future cavers to get them registered to launch into kindergarten! Each of the district's 6 elementary schools will have an orientation program for parents and activities for the children. 

A child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2025, to attend kindergarten next year. 

Please bring the following items to the event: your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency, and record of immunizations. If you do not have a copy of your child’s birth certificate, you will need to order one from the birth state (it can take six to eight weeks to arrive).  A copy of the birth certificate is essential before school starts in August, but please come to Kindergarten Launch to register even if you are waiting for any of the required documents.

If you cannot attend Kindergarten Launch, you may stop by school offices after March 6, 2025, to complete the online registration. If you are unsure which school your student will attend, please visit our school boundary maps webpage or call 541-474-5700.

(If the birth certificate is not available, alternative documents could include, but are not limited to, a religious, hospital, or physician's certificate showing date of birth; an entry in a family bible; an adoption record; an affidavit from a parent; a birth certificate; previously-verified school records; or any other documents permitted by law.)
